MATISSE MM3 SURFACE TENSION BREAKER

What is acrylic flow medium?

Combining acrylic flow medium with water and paint substantially enhances colour absorption into absorbent surfaces such as paper or raw canvas. This mixture is especially beneficial in stain painting methods and water wash applications.

MM3 サーフィス・テンション・ブレーカーを水に混ぜたり、絵具に混ぜて使うと、吸収性のある紙や布（下準備していないキャンバスなど）への色の浸透を非常に容易にします。ステイン・ペインティングやウォッシュのテクニックを、手作りの水彩画紙、または、吸収性の高い紙、下処理を施していないキャンバスなどに適用する際に非常に役に立つ添加剤です。

最高の結果を得るために、MM3サーフェス・テンション・ブレーカーは、事前に水で薄めてお使いください。容器などに水を入れ、5-10％のMM3サーフェステンションブレーカーを入れたものを水の代わりにお使いください。MM7ポリマーグロス・ワニス（グロスメディウム）や、MM4ジェルメディウム、MM9アクリルペインティングメディウム等の他のメディウムも、MM3サーフェイステンションブレーカーを水であらかじめ希釈して使う事が出来ます。

メディウムまたはアクリル絵具２５０ml容器に対して、水で薄めたMM3サーフィス・テンション・ブレイカーを大さじ一杯加えておく事で、目立った分散効果があります。

下地処理をしていないキャンバス、（コットンシードオイルや種を取り除くために水洗いや漂白剤での下処理はされている）または、生のキャンバスは、水で薄めたMM3サーフィス・テンション・ブレイカー溶液で一度洗浄する事で、ステイン･ペインティング技法がさらに効果的になります。水で薄めたMM3サーフィス・テンション・ブレイカーは、さらにストレッチされたキャンバスにブラシを使って塗り込み、乾かす事で、同じ効果が発揮できます。

エアーブラシ：マティス･ストラクチャーや、フローフォーミュラを、エアーブラシを使って使用する場合は、希釈剤（MM３サーフィス・テンション・ブレイカー１に対し、９の水で薄めたもの）で、絵具を目的の粘度まで薄めます。絵具に水を加える量は、この希釈液を使う事で、水で薄める時に比べ、かなり少量の希釈剤で同程度の粘度まで薄める事が出来ます。（これは、化学作用によって薄めるためです。）そのため、水で薄められた薄く弱い色味ではなく、濃く、強い色味を保つ事が可能です。また、マティス・インクは、エアブラシの中でも最も細いブラシで描く事が出来ます。

カリグラフィ：マティス・ストラクチャーやフローフォーミュラをカリグラフィのニブで使う場合は、MM３サーフィス・テンション・ブレーカー１に対して、水を９で予め希釈したもので、絵具を希望の粘度まで薄めます。ここで作られた絵具は、マーケットで売られている多くのインクとは違い、耐光性に優れた色褪せをしないインクになります。または、水性マティスインクの色は全て耐光性が高く、２４色の色を揃えております。

水彩画： Traditional watercolour techniques can be achieved easily with Matisse colours blended with MM3 Surface Tension Breaker. This will allow artists to work with the complete range of Matisse acrylic colours as they would with watercolours. MM3 Surface Tension Breaker will also assist with the dispersion of pigment when you are employing acrylic paints for watercolour techniques. Airbrushing and other techniques you can do with Surface Tension Breaker

Calligraphy: Calligraphy artists find using Matisse Flow Formula and MM3 Surface Tension Breaker mixed together through calligraphy pens (diluted as described above) provide rich, strong "inks". Not only does this make available a very large range of colours but, more importantly, the paints remain lightfast and will not fade.
Watercolour: Traditional watercolour techniques can be achieved easily with Matisse Colours. Using MM3 Surface Tension Breaker will not only allow the artist to work with Matisse Colours, as they would with traditional watercolours, but will also open up a whole new area of creative possibilities.
Floating: Folk Artists and Decorative painters will find using water containing 1:10 ratio of water to MM3 Surface Tension Breaker will greatly assist with floating. See Floating Technique
