At Derivan we take the environment and its long term sustainability very seriously - we have implemented several programs to lighten our company's environmental footprint already, with official commendations for our efforts.
Thus far, these have all had to do with the packaging or production. The next stage in our program gives you the opportunity to help the environment with us. 
The first step in recycling is re-use. At Derivan, we believe we have some of the best packaging around (from an environmental standpoint); recyclable PET containers where possible and recycled cartons. However, one thing better than recycling,is using packaging again, without having to transform it, and re-manufacture.
Therefore we are trialing a program (from 1st July 2008 to 31st December 2008) of recycling the clam packs that our tubes are packed in. We would ask that you save them, and once you have at least a minimum of 50 units return them to us by Australia Post reply paid.
It will not cost you anything, however the shop with the best rate of return per annum (i.e. numbers sent out versus returned) will win our "Derivan Recycler of the Year Award" plus an AVANTI mountain bike ( so you can ride to work and be even greener!)
Please be assured that this is not an exercise in cost cutting, as the freight will outweigh the price of buying the clams new. So, in financial terms there is a zero sum gain, however the real gain is in yet another reduction of our environmental footprint.
So just follow the directions below and start helping the environment now!

Pack a minimum of 50 clams of either 5 x 75ml tube, or 3 x 75ml tube (can be a combination of both, but please do not send other companies' clams and containers to us).

At the end of the calendar year we will total up the best rate of return as a percentage of sales (i.e. clams you have received) and the most environmentally conscious will receive the AVANTI MTB and be awarded the "Derivan Recycler of the Year".
